Ibec Networks Health & Social Care Meeting
The next Health & Social Care Network Meeting will take place on Tuesday 16th May .
Ireland’s data protection rules are about to significantly change - the new General Data Protection Regulation will come into legal effect in May 2018.
Anne Bateman of Philip Lee Solicitors will outline to members Ireland’s current data protection rules and the upcoming changes to the rules under the GDPR, including the GDPR’s tough sanctions regime.
There will be a specific focus on how the new rules will affect health and social care organisations, including in terms of their use of patient information and children’s information. Anne will also provide recommendations of what your organisations should be doing now in order to ensure that you are “GDPR-ready” by May 2018.
Lorraine Parkes, Employee Relations Executive, Ibec, will also provide a HR Update for the Health & Social Care Sector on the morning. This will cover the ECJ ruling on Working Time (travelling) and a HR update on Retirement Age.
